On August 22-25, twelve Chardonnay Traveler RVs headed to Coyote Valley RV Resort in
Morgan Hill for a delightful weekend. Even the weather cooperated with some just right
warm days and gentle breezes.
Our hosts were Jo and Joe Macaluso, and Tom and Jan Balcer. They prepared a
wonderful salad bar dinner for our first gathering on Thursday evening. It was fun catching
up with what everyone had been doing all summer. The Balcers and Schippers had really
enjoyed their Winnebago Canadian Rockies & Calgary Stampede trip.
The next morning we were treated to a large breakfast that included homemade biscuits and
gravy, as well as scrambled eggs, various bread and sweet roll choices, and fruit salad.
Then we were on our own for activities of choice. Some visited the quilt store, or ventured
to the outlets in Gilroy. Others went to Camping World, or Old Town Morgan Hill. And
some stayed at the park, visiting, reading, or enjoying the pool and hot tub. That evening,
we car-pooled to the Marie Callender Restaurant for dinner.
Following our Chapter Meeting on Saturday morning, we again selected our own activities
until time for the Social Hour and Potluck Dinner, which featured Macaluso BBQed ribs.
Dave Rinehart was the lucky winner of the 50/50 Raffle! It seems as though Pat Winn
lucky streak is well and truly over. Finally!! After dinner clean-up, there was a rousing, if
short, game of LCR, with Joe Macaluso winning the pot for that.
After a filling get away breakfast, we said our good-bys, and mosied on down the road
|Thanks for a great job well done !
