Chardonnay Traveler’s
February Newsletter

Happy St. Patrick’s Day was the theme for the March outing at the Gilroy
Garlic USA RV Park in Gilroy Ca.  A tasty dinner of Mulligan Stew with all the
trimmings was provided by our hosts the Winns and Andersons.

After a free morning on Friday, a car pool transported us to the Morgan Hill
Bowl.  The afternoon was filled with giggles and cheers as bowling balls rolled
down the lanes, sometimes knocking down pins.

The evening meal was a wonderful pot luck with the hosts serving
rotisserie chicken.  We have terrific cooks in our group.  Keeping with the
Irish theme of the outing, we saw the movie “The Quiet Man”.

Saturday began with a delicious breakfast prepared by our hosts.  After
our chapter meeting, we car pooled to San Martin to the “Wings of History” air
museum. A lovely docent led our group through the exhibits, sharing wonderful
stories about the early years of flight.  The displays of so many planes were
interesting to all.

With beautiful weather, many participated in a new outdoor game (to us)
“Corn Hole”.  The West Side Grill was the gathering place for our dinner.  We
returned to the park for an evening of Card Bingo in the club house.
Our Sunday get a way breakfast seemed to come too soon.  With wishes
of safe travels, we departed looking forward to our nest outing.
