Quilter's Life Saver

1 whole chicken cut up or several chicken breasts
salt, pepper to taste
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
1 Tbs. flour
1/2 c water
paprika to taste
Season meat, place in slow cooker.
Pour soup over meat.
Cover and cook on Low for 6 hrs.
Remove chicken to a serving platter, cover to keep warm
Turn slow cooker to High, in small mixing bowl, blend flour and water until smooth. Stir into hot gravy in slow cooker.
Cook until thickened, pour over chicken to serve, sprinkle with paprika before serving.
Variations: Put cut up carrots, onions, celery at bottom of cooker before adding chicken to cook, then you will have a quick vegetable to serve also, which gives you more time to quilt!
