Upside-Down Fruit Cobbler

1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/2 cup milk 1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
2 cups fresh fruit

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8-inch round or square pan with Pam. In medium bowl, combine shortening, sugar, flour, baking powder, egg, milk, and 1/2 each cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well. Pour batter into pan. Spoon fruit mixed with remaining cinnamon and nutmeg over batter. Bake 45-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Store in refrigerator. 6 servings. Bon Appetite!
